Christine — aka Chicky — started Chicky's in 2022 when she was finally ready to take the plunge and start her own culinary venture. Named after her lifelong nickname given to her by her mother, Chicky’s is a small-batch sourdough bakery dedicated to baking wholesome sourdough bread that tastes naughty, but digests nice.

Baking is in Chicky’s DNA, with roots tracing all the way back to a small bakery that started in the 1800s in Caserta, Italy. Growing up in an Italian family of bakers and cooks meant that food was what brought everyone together — and there’s nothing like breaking bread with family and friends.
But finding bread that not only tastes good but also feels good is a challenge — and Chicky is up for it. She’s on a mission to bake bread that is healthy *and* healing but tastes like a guilty pleasure. Now that's the sweet spot.
Chicky's sourdough loaves are all crafted with three simple ingredients: organic flours from Maine Grains, Central Milling, and King Arthur Flour; filtered water (no plastics, pesticides, or contaminants here!); and Redmond Real Salt®, a pure, unrefined sea salt from Utah. This is why Chicky's sourdough is not only a delicious showstopper but also a nutritional powerhouse.
Chicky's sourdough is hand-mixed, fermented, and baked to perfection. Now, here's the magic: fermented bread, like Chicky's sourdough, is easier to digest, packed with nutrients and prebiotics, and has a lower glycemic index than commercially processed bread.
